Every year, the Nepalese Canadian Community Services (NCCS) proudly hosts the Himalayan Mela, a colorful and lively festival that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the Himalayan region. This year, the event is set to take place on August 9, 2025, at the iconic Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto, bringing together over 10,000 attendees from diverse backgrounds.
What is the Himalayan Mela?
Since 2005, the Himalayan Mela has been a showcase of multiculturalism in Canada, providing a platform for newcomers and established community members alike to connect, celebrate, and share their traditions. The festival showcases Nepali culture through traditional music, dance, language, and, of course, delicious food. It’s an inclusive event welcoming people of all ages to experience the vibrant spirit of the Himalayas right in the heart of Toronto.
